The Boarding School Experience is where learning and self-confidence flourish.

Deciding to send your child to a boarding school can be full of mixed emotions. However, the benefits of a boarding experience are immeasurable. Although the distance can be difficult, this unique and life-enriching opportunity gives them a chance to grow in ways that are untold, including developing a stronger sense of character and independence.

The Student Life Team, teachers, and staff all contribute to the overall well-being of your child – from the classroom to the many outdoor learning experiences they are exposed to. This becomes their home away from home.

The campus resides on five acres of land in the small university town of Wolfville, Nova Scotia on the Bay of Fundy coast. It is a safe place for students to live and study. Landmark East is a community-based school, and so our students benefit from the facilities available in Wolfville. This includes the use of Acadia University’s recreational facilities, which has an Olympic size swimming pool, gymnasium, squash and racquetball courts, weight room and skating rink.

At Landmark East School, they are immersed is a warm, caring and nurturing environment. They feel the support of every member of the team from the Student Life, to their Success Facilitators, Teachers, and the staff that cook their home-made meals. You can watch your child transform into the person they were destined to be.

Weekend Activities

At Landmark East School the emphasis on the weekend experience is both recreation and leisure. The Student Life Team creates innovative programming that engages students during their leisure time. Weekend activities allow students to stay active, connect with nature, use their imaginations, and be immersed in local culture while building life skills and learning outside a traditional setting. Every weekend, boarding students are given the opportunity to participate in various activities including but not limited to physical activity, arts, culture and outdoor recreation.

The inclusive and diverse activities provide opportunities for students to go outside their comfort zone and try new things while having fun. The activities are designed to provide students with the opportunity to create meaningful connections with their peers that fosters lifelong friendships and enhances personal growth and independence.

The cost associated with weekend activities will be deducted from the student account of those who participate in the specific recreational activity.
